HONOLULU (KHON2) –Several deserving women from across the island have been training and waiting for this one night.
Friday evening not only saw the end of an era for Miss Hawaii 2023, but the embarkment of a new journey for the newly crowned Miss Hawaii 2024.
It’s been a wonderful year of reign for our island’s current titleholder Savannah Gankiewicz.
She won last year and represented Hawaii beautifully at the Miss USA pageant in 2023.
Gankiewicz not only secured the 1st runner up title at Miss USA, but she wowed the world with her national costume that represented the recently burned Lahaina.
She wont best National Costume and Best In Interview.
But now, a new young lady yearns to wear the crown and sash with Hawaii’s name.
17 women entered the pageant all vying to be Hawaii’s beauty queen, only one was crowned.
